ReStore Volunteer feature
In my Senior capstone class, Digital Media for the Common Good, we were tasked with designing and producing content for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore. This secondhand furniture store raises funds for the organization’s projects. This video was the feature piece that we produced for our partnership with them. We interviewed Chuck, a regular volunteer at ReStore, and highlighted the many opportunities to contribute to ReStore’s mission and the importance of community. I was involved in the planning, scripting, shooting, and editing stages, and I edited several different versions optimized for other platforms.
Bobozapants – Sam vs. Stress
My role: Production designer, Editor, Production manager
This video was one of the fictional segments included in each episode of “Bobozapants,” an educational TV show aimed at middle school-aged kids that the entire class contributed to. This one in particular was for the Mental Wellbeing episode, and we decided to highlight factors in young teens’ lives that contribute to stress such as caffeine, technology, and homework. As the production designer, I made or collected props for the “stress monster” characters, and as editor, I did the rough offline edit in Premiere Pro.
Bobozapants – “Amber Dextrous”
My role: Production designer, Production Manager
Bobozapants – “Title sequence”
My role: Editor, Photographer/videographer
This video was my proposal for the Bobozapants title sequence. I used a DSLR and Photoshop to take photos of my classmates and to create the stop-motion-esque paper animation. Video clips from Bobozapants segments were edited in After Effects and the whole thing was put together in Premiere.
Monster Manor
My role: director, cinematographer, editor, writer.
This was the second assignment of DIMA 360 – TV Prod in Field. I wanted to make a dramatic skit with a reality TV vibe featuring different monsters, inspired by the show “What We Do in the Shadows”.

Bobozapants “Linkers”
Individual project; I performed all roles.
This video was used as a ‘linker’ in a completed episode of Bobozapants. Linkers acted as a palette cleanser and a breath between larger segments, so they were relatively short and simple. They were also a way for the class to demonstrate lighting and camera techniques. For example, this linker was an exercise in filming indoor simulated night. To do so, I used blue artistic gels on LED lights to fill the room and a brighter blue key light to simulate light coming through the blinds. I used the brightness dial on the LED light to simulate a lightning strike, which I thought was a cool effect. With the required darkness I wanted to elevate the mysterious atmosphere with a light jazz audio track and a detective-like coat. As with all linkers, I included the show title ‘Bobozapants’, and using Adobe After Effects I keyframed the opacity of the text to match the flickering light effect.
